The Story of Burrito Loco:
A Legacy of Flavor and Family
In the early 1980s, Luis and Blanca Morales left their homeland with a dream of
building a better life in America. Settling in Somerville, Massachusetts, they combined their rich culinary heritage with a passion for sharing the authentic flavors of Mexico and El Salvador. In the early 1990s, they opened Taco Loco, a small taqueria that quickly became a local favorite for its vibrant, mouth-watering dishes.
What began as a modest family venture soon grew into one of Boston’s best
Mexican Salvadoran restaurants. The dedication and love that Luis and Blanca poured into every dish resonated with the community, making Taco Loco a beloved culinary institution.
Today, the Morales Group—a team of four brothers— continues to carry forward the legacy of Luis and Blanca. With the same commitment to quality and authenticity, they have expanded their culinary vision with Burrito Loco. This new venture brings a fresh twist to the classic burrito while staying true to the rich traditions that have always defined their food.
Burrito Loco is more than just a restaurant; it’s a continuation of a family story rooted in passion, hard work, and the joy of sharing great food. Join us at Burrito Loco and experience the next chapter in the Morales family’s delicious journey.
